President Silveria Begins His Tenure With a Message to the UA System Community
Retired United States Air Force Lieutenant General Jay B. Silveria begins his tenure as president of the University of Arkansas System with a message of solidarity, momentum and an open-door policy to learning the path toward continued success of the state’s largest higher education system.
The Board of Trustees of the University of Arkansas unanimously approved the selection of Silveria as the next president of the University of Arkansas System in November 2024, with his tenure beginning Jan. 15.
