The University of Arkansas System is actively monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic as news and information is shared and processed during this rapidly evolving time of uncertainty. With more than 21 campuses, divisions and units statewide, its entities have all carefully made decisions based on information relative to their immediate area and with the protection of the health and welfare of its many students, faculty and staff.
Because of the diversity of the UA System and its many locations throughout the state, it has relied on leadership teams at those individual locations to closely examine best practices, advice and directives from local, state and national health officials to aid in deciding what’s best for each particular campus, division and unit.
What You’ll Find
As a result of the fluidity of the pandemic and the many decisions being made within the UA System by the hour, this page is not intended to be a source for up-to-the-minute changes and announcements at each campus, division and unit. However, it is intended to be a log for System-level announcements, news and directives, while also offering a comprehensive list to COVID-19 websites at each institution that are routinely updated with the latest information specific to each one. The Board of Trustees of the University of Arkansas has been committed to routinely holding regular special videoconference meetings to make decisions based on information and guidance at that present time. Those meetings announcements and subsequent actions are also included below.
The system will continue to monitor the outbreak and follow guidance from the Governor’s Office, the Arkansas Department of Health, local health departments, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
